Triveni | Mar 19 2010

Fashion shows are an integral part of our styling industry and now it’s no more about just launching a collection , the thing that matters is how innovatively a designer launches his collection. And it has amused me to see that our designers come up with exciting and wild creativities on the ramp. Below are some of the most extraordinary stages with exclusive and fashion frenzy models and ranges. Scroll down to have a look...

1) Great Wall Of China Fashion Show

Designer: Karl Lagerfeld

Venue: The Great Wall Of China

The Show: The event was held on top of the ancient structure, with spotlights lighting up the models walking the ramp on the wall. It left everyone awe-stuck. 88 models walked the ramp to display the designers Fall/Winter 2007 collection.

4) Mankinis On The Catwalk

Designer:
Alexander McQueen

Venue: Milan Fashion Week

The Show: The concept of this show was very unique, the Mankini clad models on the ramp. Well, it is fine on the catwalk but all I hope is that this trend doesn’t catch up soon with the men on the beaches. It will be awful.

6) Peek-A-Boo Fashion Show

Designer: John Galliano

Venue: Paris Couture Season

The Show:
This one was very interesting as there was a whole lot of sheer fabrics and elegant models. The main attraction of this event was that the dresses were made in a manner that they were looking translucent, giving an eyeful to the audiences.
