Vintage images as fashion statement

Hip fashion labels are using vintage images in various imaginative ways.

Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld recently launched a clothing line featuring T-shirts printed with a decades-old black-and-white photo of himself.

Libertine creators Johnson Hartig and Cindy Greene are putting Victorian-era portraits of poets and royalty on their much-buzzed-about, edgy classics.

Anne Taintor has introduced a new collection of bags juxtaposing period glamour-girl head shots with amusing phrases like “frugal is such an ugly word.”

If you want to be a little more creative, you can even get your own pic silk screened on your T shirt. Believe me it will speak your attitude.
