This April saw the release of the much awaited video, Lights Out and what a journey it has been for Santogold since then. The singer and songwriter whose real name is Santi White has incorporated an array of concepts in her video including bright, groovy backgrounds. Essentially electronic with a bit of indie influence thrown in, Lights Out features the singer in an asymmetrically zebra striped coat, glasses and even lipstick! The backgrounds are equally enchanting with the Hawaiian exotic beach print taking all the glory away.
Santi White aka Santogold has more to rejoice about though. Apart from the roaring success of the video, the singer must be jubilant about how the first two singles of the album were received. No wonder BBC claimed her as the newest artist to watch out for.
