Rings inspired by potted cacti

If you thought these are potted cacti, join the club. And if you refuse to believe these (including the pots) are actually rings, join the club again. But believe it or not, that’s what they are: rings. The holes at the bottom are for no other reasons than to slip them around your finger.

Designer Barbara Uderzo has got really adventurous this time with her designs. For those of you who are not acquainted with her work, she is the creative mind behind Alternatives Contemporary Jewelry. She specializes in meaningful forms and designs, often in non-expensive materials.

I wonder if those thorns are really prickly. Even if they aren’t, they look scary enough to have people maintain their distance. But that’s not always a bad thing!

If you ask for my opinion (or even if you don’t), I’d say I like the design on the right side of the first picture. But I only wish the pot wasn’t a part of the jewelry! I have a feeling it’d have looked better that way. In any case, you can’t go unnoticed with this one.
