No frilly fashions for Wendell Rodricks: Lakme Fashion Week
Himadree | Apr 1 2006

It was an eye soother after the flooding frilled sessions and the fashion crazy Bollywood folk’s catwalks on the ramp. Designer Wendell Rodricks collection reflected his forte the Oceanic Theme.

True to his fashion sense his models looked gorgeous in the sea-inspired range. Not accessorized, neither outrageously colorful, he did it again that clothes needn’t be made gaudy with all sort of shiny embellishments.

Rodrick’s took his creative inspiration from the legendary dancer Isadora Duncan: the wild spirit, the close to nature fusion, everything about his creation can be summed up just in one word: EXOTIC

Wendell’s impeccable taste for tailoring, cuts and fabric was very well being shown in his outfits made of fabrics like silk, satin, chiffon, cotton, organza, linen and coarse wool. While he kept the colors quite light and simple: white, aqua peach, acid green.

The Gujarati Kedia inspired dress pleated cutaway tunic with ribbed green mini was a standalone Indian collection.
