Nike has always taken advantage of the Olympic Games to launch its latest innovative and often bold products. Nike’s rival Adidas is the official sponsor of this year’s Beijing Olympics and to outshine its rival, Nike has launched its latest basketball shoe range – the Nike Hyperdunk. This is the lightest and strongest of Nike basketball shoe ever made, being 18 percent lighter than the average Nike basketball shoes. The lightest track and basketball shoe is made of ultra-resistant fibers. Beijing as the Olympics games venue is quite special for Nike as one-third of its shoes are manufactured in China. The new Nike shoes are expected to adorn the feet of thousands of athletes from over 100 countries in this year’s Olympics.
