Leonardo's Watches Go Green
Anirudh Srinivasan | Jul 10 2008

Leonardo DiCaprio has been on the ‘Go Green’ band wagon for some time now and his efforts have become quite popular in different ways. His latest effort is supported by Swiss watch manufacturer Jaeger-LeCoultre which has crafted 2 exquisite time pieces each priced upwards of $300,000. Both these watches will be auctioned off and 100% of the proceeds will be given to the Leonardo DiCaprio Fund which actively supports environmental organizations and initiatives.Incidentally, leonardo wore one of these to the premiere of his movie ‘The 11th Hour’ and that particular watch will have his name engraved on it before being auctioned off.

The watches in question have been crafted from carbon fiber and titanium and they feature two time zones, a pointer-type AM/PM indication at 12 o’clock and a patented jumping date display between 15 and 16 linked to local time.
