After he put mickey mouse on the ramp, there was little that could surprise me when you speak of what Manish Arora designs. I confess to have been taken aback a little though, when I spotted Kate Perry of I kissed a Girl fame wearing a rather quaint frock-ish something at the MTV awards! This very merry dress with a merry-go-round hemline is the brainchild of Arora who showcased this collection at Paris. Apparently, Perry was so impressed with his art that she made it a point to contact him. Turns out, Perry did justice to the dress and pulled off the unconventional look with élan - what’s next Arora? A ferris wheel?
