Come July 2008 and GQ readers will get to see the world’s highest paid supermodel, Gisele Bundchen steaming up the cover. The Brazilian supermodel will be seen flaunting her muscular and sexy figure in men’s underwear and striped knee-high socks (Maybe cashing in on the Euro 2008 hype). The steamy cover also comes with a ‘bare it all’ interview in which Gisele talks about being the highest paid model, footballer boyfriend Tom Brady, and squashes rumors about ex Leonardo DiCaprio.

When asked about the cover shoot, Gisele says,

This is exactly how I would describe my work: I get there, I put on the clothes, I leave it on the hangar, and I go home, and that’s what I do.

And boy does she do it well!

Gisele may no longer be just a Victoria’s Secret model, but her days of posing in her underwear are far from over. In order to generate a desired hype around the cover (like it needed that!), GQ has supplemented it with a video of the shoot. The video features a sensual Gisele playing up for the camera in various poses. We see her writhing on white sheets all the while giving fluid poses, she runs her hands through her hair, moves her arms over her head and moves from one pose to the other without making a single awkward gesture. The video has an un-edited quality and shows Gisele in a sensual dialogue with the camera.

This tactic has become a popular form of guerrilla marketing for magazine spreads; the video can be seen on sites like YouTube, DailyMotion etc.

The magazine hit the stands on 24th June and the Internet has been flooded with links to the video, and to exclusive images. There are also blurbs from the interview up for grabs, and numerous advertisements urging people to become subscribers in order to get a peek at the much talked about cover.
