New York based designer Camilla Staerkās fall collection was predominantly black with a dash of white here and there. But it was not one of those usual boring black things which fell flat on the tall and skinny runway models. What added a unique dimension to the outfit was the use of brooches, not the everyday pearls or diamond ones, but over-sized aluminum floral brooches. Very innovatively pinned onto gowns, belts and jackets, the aluminum brooches, designed by Japanese designer Shinji Nakaba added a dash of edginess to the entire collection, showcased at the New York Fashion Week.
A classic example of how a simple accessory can pull up a dull, drab outfit. Brooch is the way to go guys!
