Plaits please - Hair trend 2008

Braids are not about pigtails or long tresses anymore! There are many innovative ways in which braids can complement your snazzy hairstyle. You need not use hairpins to keep your hair in place. You can just braid up your hair out there. If you are dressing for a party, you can decorate your braid with some glitterati to make your hairstyle look gorgeous!

I believe there is a braided hairstyle for everyone but you should know which one suits you the best. Take Lauren Conrad for example; she is one celeb who seems to be in love with her braided look! Her basic style is pretty simple. Braid up the front hair, pull the braid to a side and tie up a pony. Simple isn’t it? This looks to be an apt hairstyle when you don’t want irritating strands of hair falling on your face when you are in the busiest times of your life. Well, Lauren seems to know how to use the braid for a glamorous look too!

Nicole Richie, I simply love your braided hairband. It really complements your boho LA style! Well, I don’t like the all braided look of yours. You know ponies look better than plaits and your hair will not get ugly waves when you open out the plait.

Gwen Stefani’s braided hairstyle does look sophisticated but I think I can try this hairstyle only for special occasions because it is too difficult and time taking to make everyday.

Rachel’s braid looks odd to me. I like braids that enhance the symmetry of the face.
